Ages 5-7

The Bastien Piano Basics Primer A and Primer B are for the young beginner. Students ages 5-7 will start with Bastien Piano Basics Primer A. The two books the student will need initially are:

• Piano for the Young Beginner (Catalog# WP230)
• Theory & Technic for the Young Beginner (WP232)

After completing both Primer A and Primer B the student will move into Piano Basics Level 1 in the 7-11 year old age group.

Ages 7-11

The following books are for the 7-11 year old beginner. Beginner Piano students ages 7-11 will start with Bastien Piano Basics Primer Level. The student will initially need four books:

• Theory (WP205)
• Performance (WP210)
• Technic (WP215)

Upon completion of either the Primer Level or both Primer A and Primer B the student will move to Piano Basics Levels 1-4. For more information on each of the levels, see below.

Level 1

 Level 1 includes five books:

• Technic (WP216)
• A Line A Day Sight Reading (WP258)

Level 2

Level Two includes Five books the student will need:

• A Line A Day Sight Reading (WP259)

Level 3

Level Three includes Four books the student will need:

• Piano (Catalog# WP203)
• Theory (WP208)
• Performance (WP213)
• Technic (WP218)

Level 4

Level Four includes Four books the student will need:

• Theory (WP209)
• Performance (WP214)
• Technic (WP219)
