What are Speech/Drama Lessons?

Speech/Drama lessons are whatever you need them to be! One of the greatest fears people have is to stand in front of people and talk. If you are faced with a situation where you need to feel more comfortable speaking to groups, you can benefit from Speech and Drama lessons. Some people want more confidence going into an audition for a play or a musical. We can help you choose a quality audition piece, prepare it, and be comfortable performing it. Maybe you are a Sunday School teacher who wants the lesson to flow more smoothly, and you want to be more confident in front of your students. We Can Help! Whether you are a salesman, an actor, a teacher, or just someone who wants to be more comfortable speaking to people, please come see us. Call or e-mail if you have any questions.

About The Instructors

Janey Hatfield graduated from Pensacola Christian College with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Music in 2002. She continued her studies and completed her Master of Arts degree in Music in May of 2004. During her studies, Janey prepared and performed a one-hour voice recital containing classics in 3 languages as well as modern American songs. She joined the music faculty at Pensacola Christian College where she taught voice, music theory, and speech for one year. She has a love for people and a passion for music and a desire to pass that love for music to others.   She has been teaching and building a studio out of her home since the fall of 2005.

Keith Hatfield graduated from Pensacola Christian College with his Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications in 2003. As part of his studies, Keith prepared a 45 Minute cutting from The Hunchback of Notre Dame which he memorized and performed in front of a crowd of 600+ people. After graduating, he stayed at PCC working as a graduate assistant and teaching speech and communications courses. During two summers, he also worked as an instructor at a two-week long Speech/Drama camp for high school students. During these two weeks, the students were taught the fundamentals of public speaking, voice and diction, and acting. Keith continues to enjoy speaking and performing and enjoys sharing his love of speaking with others.
